The representative and historical National Botanical Garden was inaugurated in 1976 with the purpose of preserving the variety of flora of the Dominican Republic together with its exotic national and international plants. It is located on Av. República de Argentina esq. Av. Los Próceres. With its nature and undoubted beauty full of green and flowered spaces gives the relaxing feeling where you can feel and see beautiful for your photo session.
In addition to all its source of natural resources, it has strategic highlights for photo sessions. One of them is the Central Plaza, it is the place of reception for visitors, it has several ponds that house aquatic plants and multicolored fish. In this area you can also find trains that take visitors around the garden and can also be used for the photo shoot. Another emblematic place of the garden is the Floral Clock, it is one of the biggest in the world, it is surrounded by a circular shaped pond where they exhibit aquatic plants.
One of the most recognized places to hold photo sessions is the Japanese Garden. It has collections of bamboo plants, junipers and araucarias that give it an oriental touch of beautiful landscape that are complemented by its lakes and red arch bridge. It has an area called Herbolario, a space not recommended for posing photos since it is characterized by its medicinal, aromatic, toxic and stinging plants, with the purpose of offering information to people interested in knowing these properties. Another place within the botanical garden is the endemic plants, where are the most representative plants of the endemic flora of the Spanish island, considered in danger of extinction. And finally its pavilions of aquatic plants, bromeliads, ferns, exotic plants and baskets and orchids.
In this place there are numerous places to make photo sessions with different scenarios. To make professional photographs in the botanical garden, a fee of RD $ 2,000 pesos is paid, then an invoice is delivered to the entrance of the Japanese garden, where only one vehicle is allowed for the session.
