Güibia beach

According to historians, initially access to this place required authorization, over the years it was enabled for the enjoyment of wealthy families in the area with the custom of enjoying the sunset. Today, after more than 100 years of history, it is a place intended for the enjoyment of the entire public. Güibia Beach near the Plaza that bears the same name is ideal for those who would like not to leave the city, since one of its many attractions is that it is close to George Washington Avenue, on the Malecón of Santo Domingo, Republic Dominican.

This space enjoys beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea, it also has an incredibly beautiful wooden gazebo, even more so if we have a good sunset.

Punta Arena beach, Baní

Just 80 km from Santo Domingo, it is a hidden treasure. It is located in one of the few coastal areas in the southern region of the country that has fine white sands.

Juan Dolio beach

This beach has 10 kilometers of white sand, located about 57 km from the city center.

Juan Dolio Beach enjoys beautiful views of our Caribbean Sea, in addition to its flora, where beautiful palm trees predominate that will make some very tropical photos shine. It offers us calm areas and waves, both very interesting when it comes to doing an unusual photo session.

La Matica island

Located in San Andrés Bay, 500 meters from the coast of Boca Chica. The place is charming, a real hideaway. The environment favors the captures, giving an unreal touch to the natural.

To get there it is necessary to use yawls or pedal boats that are rented in Boca Chica.

Macao beach, Punta Cana

One of the few beaches that has not been occupied by hotels, it is considered one of the most impressive in the country. Wide, with sparkling waters, surrounded by palm trees and extraordinary waves.

It is located in the extreme north of the Punta Cana region, about 224 km from the center of Santo Domingo.

The place is surrounded by palm trees, with beautiful white sands; The waves and wind will allow us to take very original photographs.

Juanillo beach

Simply extraordinary.

It boasts a virgin landscape, with white sands, turquoise waters and tall palm trees on the shore. Also, it is accompanied by thick tropical vegetation that extends to the palm trees. It is usually rarely visited, this will allow you to enjoy it to the fullest.

Bavaro beach

Together with those that are nearby, it forms about 40 uninterrupted km of white sands, called “La Costa del Coco”.

It is preferred by visitors due to its crystalline turquoise waters, which is why it is one of the most famous and valued in the Dominican Republic; dressed in very fine white sand with a row of palm trees along the entire shore. All this scenery, added to the gentle waves, inspires creativity.

Bayahibe beach

Located southeast of La Romana, lined with palm trees and coconut trees, with incredible views.

It has a section enabled for nautical parking, then the beach area is extended to the public. It enjoys different views and natural elements that can be used to our advantage, thus creating impressive photographs.

Catalina island

This Island enjoys three beach areas: east, north and west with incredible views and spaces for impressive and original catches. It is the closest to the coasts of La Romana.

The boats that sail to the island depart from Bayahibe. Who said that a photo session doesn’t involve adventure?

Dominicus beach

Dominicus is the first beach in the Caribbean to receive Blue Flag certification (an award for meeting high quality standards) and is popular for its calm, shallow turquoise waters.

It is located approximately 140 km from Santo Domingo and 7 km from Bayahibe beach.

Palmilla beach

Secluded beach located within the protected area of the Este National Park in La Romana.

White sands, crystal clear waters and a lush forest on the edge of the beach, it represents a true tropical paradise.

To get to the place it is necessary to travel by boat from Bayahibe or La Romana. Because it is not accessible by land, it limits the visit of tourists, which is why it enjoys incredible tranquility.

Arena Blanca beach

It is the perfect place to capture the nature of the Caribbean in a photo.

Located between Playas Bávaro and Playa Macao, approximately 215 km from Santo Domingo.

As its name indicates, it enjoys neat white sands, as well as crystal clear waters that invite you to enjoy them. Of course, a Caribbean view is not complete without beautiful palm trees.

Rincón beach

In Las Galeras, in Samaná, you will find this paradise. They consider it one of the ten most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean.

Some believe that it is the ideal place for those history lovers who want to have a vision similar to the sailors of the past: virgin land, rich vegetation, transparent waters and an environment of incredible calm.

Caño Frío / Rincón beach

Purity at its finest. This river becomes a natural emerald pool that joins the ocean to the west of Playa Rincón.

The tangle of roots that mangroves create, giving life to an impressive natural habitat, are the perfect setting for an extraordinary photo session.

It is located approximately 170 km from Santo Domingo.

Las Terrenas beach

It is located between Playa Punta Popy and Playa Las Ballenas, about 150 km from Santo Domingo, it is another of the paradises of Samaná.

The beauty of its waters combined with the stillness of the place is the ideal setting to connect with nature.

Dunas de Bani (Dunas de las Calderas)

Unquestionably the ideal place for exotic photography.

Many elements are combined in this territory; sands like in the desert, the small and constant waves of the beach, the exquisite sunset.

They are located on the Las Calderas peninsula, between the towns of Matanzas, Las Calderas and Las Salinas, in the province of Peravia, in the Dominican Republic.

Salinas beach

Unlike the other beaches I have told you about, this one has the peculiarity of enjoying grayish sands.

It is located south of Baní, in Puerto Hermoso, near Las Calderas Bay (maritime military base), in the south of the Dominican Republic; one hour from Santo Domingo.

It is a beautiful beach, with incredible crystal clear waters and little visited by tourists.

Important advice that you should take into account (What they don’t tell you)

When scheduling a photo session, no matter where it is, it is common for those who will take the photos to worry about having their outfits, makeup, and hairstyle ready. But, depending on the location, especially if it is a photo session outside the studio, it is advisable to bring some essentials that will help you have the best experience.

For me it is essential that you enjoy the time you spend during the photo session, because of this I offer you the following tips that I consider useful in Beach Sessions:

Towel: you can use them as a blanket on the sand, they will also be very useful if you decide to take pictures in the water.

Umbrella / parasol: they will serve to cover you from sun exposure during moments of rest. Ah! and why not, you can also use them as an accessory in the occasional photograph.

Repellent: you must be prepared for nature, usually in these places there are insects. It doesn’t hurt to take precautions.

Sunscreen: remember that your skin will be more exposed to the sun’s rays than anywhere else.

Appropriate footwear for the place: flat and platform shoes are the most recommended to use in these areas.

Drinking water: you must maintain hydration because you will be exposed to the high temperatures of the place.
