Inspired by the idea of a course which was taking the name “Portrait Photography”, one day we were asked to photograph a subject. With the photographs we had to faithfully represent the work of that person, that from just looking at them we know what he is doing.
I thought that would be an extremely easy task since I only had to look for a policeman for example and it would be very easy for me. But at one point I decided to go outside to take a little air and contemplate the outside in search of a little inspiration, then at that very moment I came upon two very peculiar children and they asked me if I wanted to clean. Accept and one of them, of shorter stature than the other, took the initiative and began to carry out his work very enthusiastically.
We did not exchange many words.
At the end of their work I paid them and I retired, I turned around and immediately came the idea of, And why do not I take my photographs of these children? Your job is as dignified as any other professional in your area. I rushed to get my camera inside and then ran all over the street in search of them. After a few corners I found them and ordered them to stop, with everything and their hearts in their mouths.
I asked them if they would allow me to take some photos, in which they agreed a little shy. I had to ask them many questions and after a few minutes they began to pose freely and gave me guides on how they wanted to be photographed. At the end, when I was already satisfied with the result, I was asked to mail them to me. Sometimes they have the opportunity to use a computer and they could see them.
The soul has to see children doing work in hours in which they should be studying and learning to be better tomorrow, it is true that work dignifies man, but we should all have the opportunity to fully enjoy that initial stage of our lives . I hope that one day these will change.
