In this post I am going to reveal a few secrets (Maybe not so secrets) on how to keep your wedding dress clean during the photo session. Do you already want to know how? Don’t miss it and keep reading!
Learn how to keep your wedding dress clean during the photo session
Many couples take the opportunity to have a beautiful photo session in their favorite place. It can be at a particular location or at the wedding venue. But, to avoid looking like Cinderella in rags, I will share with you how to keep your wedding dress clean during the photo session:
Before the photo session
Let’s assume that the location and date of the photo shoot have already been planned and you already have your beautiful dress. In this case, you want to keep it in perfect condition prior to the wedding photo session. To do this, you will need a large box where the dress can comfortably fit.
Next, store it and make sure it is somewhat “Loose”, that is, not so tight, as it can cause wrinkles. Place a good base of tissue paper in the box, support the top part of the dress and fold back the sleeves if they have them.
Finally, fold the bottom part, overlapping the different parts and placing them between the different folds of the tissue paper. Voila! Your dress will be left intact before the photo session.
The same applies for the Veil (If you have one).
During the photo session
During the photo session the conditions of the dress will vary depending on where you are. It is best to avoid running with it or dragging it; It is more feasible to hold the dress so that the edges (which are more likely to get dirty) do not touch the dirty floor.
In the case of the veil, the same methodology would apply; Try as much as possible to avoid dragging excessively on the ground unnecessarily. “Do I have to stay still?” Simply put, yes and no; If you have a need, you can mobilize, but, for now, don’t do it if it is not necessary.
After the photo session, follow the above procedure to preserve the dress. If you don’t know how to wash it, go to a dry cleaner.
