Photo shoots at Ruins of Engombe, Dominican Republic

The Engombe Ruins is located in the municipality of Santo Domingo Oeste in the Dominican Republic, it was founded in the 17th century, from what became a powerful mill, today there are memories named “Engombe Ruins” that are made up of its four buildings called El Palacio de Engombe, built of ashlar stones and mortar. El Trapiche, which was the sugar mill where cane was ground to make sugar.The Shed, they say that sugar was stored here, the place has never been redesigned, so the deformed stones are still shown, giving a different appearance to the photographs. Finally, the Church, originally called the Santa Ana Church, this structure represents the largest fortress of the Engombe Ruins.

This place is undoubtedly a very important historical reserve of this community. The set of buildings it has is a striking space not only for its architectural and historical riches, but it is also a place surrounded by the charms of its natural resources and limited by the waters of the Haina River.

For the photo sessions we took advantage of each of its structures, its green areas and the radiant view of the waters of the Haina River in conjunction with nature. I particularly recommend the place for pre-wedding or bride and groom photo sessions and quinceañeras.
