Photo shoots at Botanical Garden Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

The representative and historic National Botanical Garden was inaugurated in 1976 in order to preserve the variety of flora of the Dominican Republic along with its exotic national and international plants. It is located on Av. República de Argentina esq. Av. Los Próceres. With its nature and undoubted beauty full of green and flowered spaces, it gives a relaxing sensation where you can feel and look beautiful for your photo session.

In addition to all its source of natural resources, it has outstanding strategic places for photo shoots. One of them is the Central Plaza, it is the reception place for visitors, it has several ponds that house aquatic plants and multicolored fish. In this area there are also trains that take visitors throughout the garden and can also be used for photo sessions. Another emblematic place in the garden is the Floral Clock, it is one of the largest in the world, it is surrounded by a circular pond where aquatic plants are displayed.

One of the most recognized places in the area for photo shoots is the Japanese Garden. It has collections of bamboo, juniper and araucaria plants that give it an oriental touch of beautiful landscape that is complemented by its lakes and the red arch bridge. It has an area called Herbalist, a space not recommended for posing photos since it is characterized by its medicinal, aromatic, toxic and stinging plants, with the purpose of offering information to people interested in knowing these properties. Another place within the botanical garden is the endemic plants, where the most representative plants of the endemic flora of the Spanish island, considered in danger of extinction, are found. And finally its pavilions of aquatic plants, bromeliads, ferns, exotic plants and baskets and orchids.

In this place there are numerous places to do photo shoots with different settings. To take professional photographs in the botanical garden, you pay a fee of RD$2,000 pesos, then you are given an invoice that you must subsequently deliver at the entrance of the Japanese garden, where only one vehicle is allowed access for the session.
