The Bellas Artes Palace, located on Avenida Máximo Gómez in the city of Santo Domingo, was inaugurated on May 15, 1956, and its main objective is the development of art and culture in the Dominican Republic. It is a fairly spacious place where they house a National Theater, the National School of Visual Art, National Folkloric Ballet, National Choir, National Dance School, the office of the National Symphony Orchestra, National Classical Ballet, School of Dramatic Art, The Theater of Fine Arts and the National Dance School.
The place has been remodeled several times, in search of adapting it to the new demands of modernity. Achieving with this a place more in tune for the different activities that take place there. With its architectural structure and antiquity, it is one of the most emblematic buildings of the Dominican Republic.
